Name: Sharon Organization: none E-mail: mdb123xyz@aol.com Message: My sister in SC wants (needs) to send her 12 year old son to our other sister in Florida (for temporary custody). My sister in Florida said she would take him if he could be included on her insurance. Her insurance said she needed signed court papers from my sister in SC. My sister in FL also said she didn't want to deal with having to go to court, doing paperwork, etc....just sent the boy with the paperwork. Period. He'll just be staying there til June 2004 (hopefully). By then, his mom will HOPEFULLY be on her feet, with a job and apartment...right now she is living with a friend who doesn't want kids there. The only other alternative is the homeless shelter. Her son lived with me for several months, years ago, along with her other children (who are now over 18 and on their own). I have 3 teens at my house and husband says, "No more!" I would like to know the process and cost that my sister in SC would need to know in order to give temporary custody to our sister in FL. She wants to do this before 11/30/03. I forgot to mention that the dad hasn't been in the picture for 10 years or more and mother has full custody. THanks for any advice :) Sharon
